There appears to be no end in sight to the rising cases of suicide attempt in Lagos as the police again rescued a man, who reportedly attempted to jump into the lagoon.
It was gathered that the man was on Sunday evening prevented from jumping into the lagoon through the Third Mainland Bridge by policemen from the Rapid Response Squad.
It was gathered that the unidentified old man, said to be in his late sixties, was peeping into the lagoon from the bridge and allegedly attempting to jump, when he was rescued.
The man was immediately taken to the RRS headquarters in Alausa Ikeja, from where he was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Department of the State Police Coomand, Panti, Yaba.
The spokesperson of the state police command, Olarinde Famous-Vole confirmed the incident to the Tribune Online.
