Olayinka Gbolahan dumps ADC, Joins PDP

In a bid to further represent the interests of the people Balogun Olayinka Gbolahan, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Ibadan North West/South West federal constituency in the 2023 general elections has joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, today.

The defection of the industrialist and power generation expert has been greeted with great interest by the PDP in the state who are keen to see what Gbolahan’s vision entails.

The politician who has a track records of intervening in programmes such as the empowerment of youths in the constituency, health, education and community projects among others, said in the release: “Following deep and wide consultations with my followers and leaders in Oyo State and of the Action Democratic Congress and cross sections of strategic partners within Oyo State,I hereby announce my defection alongside the entire supporter of mine in the 33 local governments areas of Oyo State to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“A time exists in the life of a sincere aspiring man of the public when events and circumstances lessen the operation of his mind onto new decision, new desire and new determination. Such time now finds expression in my political career which necessities vital change, fundamental decisions and refreshing determination” he added.

“It is therefore on this basis that I hereby declare the withdrawal of my membership from the Action Democratic Congress (ADC) to People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“I also present my humble self for the Political Liberation Movement.”

Ibikunle holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Ibadan and Gas Turbine Systems certification from the GE University Schenectady, New York. He has previously shown an interest in politics, having contested for the position of House of Representatives in the APC and later as a candidate for the ADC in the last election.

He hails from the Ibadan North West LGA and is committed to supporting initiatives that will promote good governance in Oyo state.
