Oladehinbo, Lagos PDP woman leader’s death has left a big vacuum ― Party

Lagos State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said it is grieved by the death of its Woman Leader, Chief (Mrs) Shola Oladehinbo, who passed on Friday during a brief illness, noting that her demise had left a big vacuum within the party fold.

PDP said this on Saturday in a signed release, copy of which was made available to newsmen by its publicity secretary, Barrister Taofik Gani, adding the PDP family nationwide was really grieved and very sad that the deceased had left behind a lovely family, including her mother.

The party, while mourning the exit of Oladehinbo, described her as leader of leaders amongst women as she was able to unite the womenfolks irrespective of differences, recalling that the PDP woman leader had been in the party since inception and had held many offices playing various roles in support.

“The late woman leader is reputed to have been in the PDP since registration, she had held many offices playing various roles to support the party. Notable being the State Financial Secretary and also as two-term Woman Leader, a role she held till her death. Her demise has left a big vacuum within the Lagos PDP.

“We got the shocking news yesterday. We are awaiting a further briefing from her family, especially about the burial plans. The PDP family nationwide is really grieved. We are, however, very sad that she has left behind a lovely family which includes her biological mother,” the party said.

PDP, while praying God for the repose of the soul of the deceased woman leader and also to console the family she left behind, said it shall put in its “best possible support in order not to make the family miss her.”

The party, however, reiterated its call on the Lagos State government “to improve health services in the state to curtail or stop deaths arising from treatable ailments.”
