Olabimpe Fapohunda, Ondo South-West LCDA empower women, educate young girls on health risks

Olabimpe Fapohunda, founder of Endometriosis and Adenomyosis Foundation (EAF), yesterday, partnered with Hon. Dr. Felix Akinola Obama, Transition Committee Chairman of Ondo South-West LCDA, to provide vital support and health education to women and female students in Ondo South-West. Through this collaboration, EAF offered financial assistance to widows, distributed food palliatives, and held awareness sessions at Bagbe-Ilunla Community High School and Igbado Community Grammar School, educating female students on endometriosis and adenomyosis and equipping them with valuable health knowledge.

The outreach, supported by Hon. Dr. Felix Obama, was welcomed with enthusiasm and gratitude from community members, who praised the efforts of Fapohunda and her EAF team. Many residents expressed that the health information shared could have a lasting impact, as the conditions discussed are often overlooked. The Iyaloja of Bagbe, along with principals and teachers from both schools, also expressed appreciation for Fapohunda and Dr. Obama’s thoughtfulness and prayed for their continued success.

Hon. Dr. Obama played an essential role in facilitating this engagement by providing a welcoming avenue for EAF’s outreach activities. His involvement emphasized the positive role local government can play in supporting health initiatives that benefit women and youth in underserved areas.

Olabimpe Fapohunda reaffirmed her commitment to helping people in Ondo South-West, promising ongoing support and engagement with the community. She assured residents that EAF’s mission remains focused on promoting health awareness and providing meaningful assistance to those in need.
