The Okoukoni Care Foundation, led by Mr Martins Azekhumhen Okouni, a 2024 governorship aspirant under the Labour Party (LP) platform, is set to assist indigent Edo State students in enrolling for the 2024/2025 WAEC/NECO examinations by providing financial support.
Mr. Okoukoni, speaking to newsmen, stated that the foundation has finalized plans to ensure qualified Edo State students are able to enroll in the upcoming examination exercise. He emphasized the importance of supporting young people’s education and announced that this initiative would become an annual event.
“We shall be supporting Edo State residents who are eligible for the WAEC/NECO examinations with financial aid to enable them to enroll for the 2024/2025 examination exercise. The financial support is aimed at assisting the less privileged in our society,” he explained.
Mr. Okoukoni encouraged eligible students to visit the foundation’s website and complete the eligibility form.
He reiterated the significance of education, stating, “Education remains the sure foundation of any developed nation. If a country is said to be developed, its educational system deserves the credit.”

Expressing concern for children who have dropped out of school due to financial constraints, Mr. Okoukoni emphasized his commitment to ensuring that every child has access to education, as they are the future leaders of the country.
He urged beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity and excel in their academics, emphasizing that the enrollment of indigent students is just one aspect of his contributions to the state’s development and Nigeria as a whole.
