Published by

Residents of Oke-Ola Oro community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State have said that the renovated primary health centre in the community by a non-profit organisation, Taiwo Mustapha Foundation, will improve the people’s standard of living.

This observation was made by the traditional ruler of the area and Oloro of Oro, Oba AbdulRafiu Oyelaran; members of Okada Riders Association, fruit sellers association, transport associations and artisans.

While commending the philanthropic gesture of Taiwo Mustapha Foundation, the people urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the good deed.

The traditional ruler, who stressed the importance of quality healthcare, particularly among the rural poor,  said the project was also capable of boosting productivity among the people.

Also speaking, the state governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, said his administration was ready to support primary healthcare centres in the state by giving them logistics and vaccines.

The governor, who was represented by the state commissioner for Health, Alhaji Suleiman Alege, urged mothers to patronise the centre for their children’s immunisation.

In his remark, the Chairman of the foundation, Taiwo Mustapha, an indigene of the community, said the gesture was borne out of his desire to help his people.

“The foundation is divided into three segments, namely: empowerment scheme, education and health support schemes,” he said.
