Ojerinde declares House of Reps ambition

Son of the Asiwaju of Oke-Ogun, Emeritus Professor Dibu Ojerinde,  Olumide, on Saturday, declared his aspiration to represent the Irepo/Oorelope/Olorunsogo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that he joined the race to make life better for the constituents and to guarantee a good future for the future.

This was just as the opposition politicians in their hundreds defected to the APC in the constituency, with Olumide Ojerinde stating that the APC remained the only party with plans for Nigerians and the people of Oyo State, praising the development strides and insight of Governor Abiola Ajimobi, which he noted made the party attractive to office-seekers.

At the event held at the Baptist High School, Igboho, Professor Ojerinde stated that the good works and good name that people attribute to him would not be soiled by Olumide, urging the constituents to support him, as he had made it clear that he was seeking the office to serve the people and to continue the legacy of his father.

The chairman of Oorelope Local Government, Okunlade, noted that due to Ajimobi’s achievements, the APC had become the best platform for politicians with good intentions, even as he urged party members in the constituency to respect the gentleman agreement on the zoning of the House of Representatives seat, saying it was Oorelope’s turn to present the candidate for the post.
