Matrix Energy Group, a leading indigenous oil marketing and trading company, has categorically denied allegations made in a recent publication claiming it discharged 200,000 metric tons of substandard Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) into its facility in July this year.

In a statement released by the company’s corporate communications unit, Ibrahim Akinola emphasized its commitment to quality and excellence, stating that it has never imported or distributed substandard cargo in its two decades of operation.

“Contrary to the assertions made in the publication, we have always maintained the highest standards of quality in our imports and distributions. Our commitment to quality has never been compromised, and we have earned the trust of our customers and regulators alike.”

The company noted that while it has the capacity to handle large volumes, it has always utilized this capacity for high-quality cargo only.

“Matrix Energy Group’s quality record has been impeccable, and the company remains committed to upholding the highest standards in the industry.”

“We would have preferred to ignore the false claims made in the publication, but we feel compelled to set the record straight and separate facts from sensationalism.”

Matrix Energy Group reiterated its commitment to quality and reliability, stating, “Our consistent ability to deliver on all contracts at competitive prices has solidified our strong position in the industry today.”
