Ohanaeze youths congratulate Azuta-Mbata on emergence as president general

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide (Youth Wing) ably led by Mazi Chukwuma Opkalaezeukwu, has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata as the 13th President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

The message was contained in a statement signed and made available to Journalists in Awka on Saturday by its National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Chika Art Adiele

Tribune Online had earlier reported that Azuta-Mbata was elected as the 13th president of the preeminent Pan-Igbo socio-cultural group at its meeting in Enugu State on Friday.

The new Ohanaeze president is a former senator who represented Rivers East in the Senate from 1999 to 2007.

The youths described Sen Azuta MBATA as a great leader with the finest character and a gentleman who loves and is always proud to be identified as a bonafide ‘nwafor Igbo’ in Rivers State and beyond.

“The Igbo Youths ably led by Mazi Chukwuma Opkalaezeukwu, who was also unanimously chosen and overwhelmingly elected on the 7th day of January as the President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo (Anambra State Chapter) is highly elated that the emergence of Mazi Sen John Azuta MBATA, will usher in sustainable and progressive developmental trajectory in Ala Igbo.

“Similarly, the National Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mazi Wenceslaus Ogbonnia (Youth Wing), also described, Sen Azuta MBATA, as meritorious, well deserved and the best Man to lead Ndigbo into the promise land.

“It is our prayers that Sen John Azuta MBATA will live in sound health to discharge this sacred mandate and sustain the legacies of our forebearers like, late Sen Obi Wali, Chief Emmanuel Aguma, Chief Jackson Mpi and HRM Eze C.C. Nwuche,” the statement concluded.
