Ohanaeze Ndigbo congratulates Gov Nwifuru on Appeal Court victory

Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization representing the Igbo people, extends its heartfelt congratulations to Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru on his recent victory at the Appeal Court, which reaffirms him as the rightful winner of the Ebonyi Governorship election held in 2023.

According to Ohanaeze, Governor Nwifuru’s victory is a testament to his dedication and commitment to serving the people of Ebonyi State.

Ohanaeze disclosed this in a statement signed and made available to Journalists by its Secretary General Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro.

The Igbo apex group then commended Ebonyi Governor for his visionary leadership, particularly his human development policies and relentless efforts to uplift the indigenous people of Ebonyi, eradicating poverty and hunger in the State.

“While acknowledging the challengers and opposition political gubernatorial candidates’ legitimate and constitutional rights to appeal any dissatisfaction, Ohanaeze Ndigbo calls upon them to shun the temptation to further appeal the judgment of the Appeal Court to the Supreme Court. Doing so would only result in a wasteful expenditure of time and resources.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo however urged all Ebonyi Stakeholders to unite and join hands with Governor Nwifuru in his tireless efforts to reposition Ebonyi State to even greater heights.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo recognizes the exceptional qualities of Governor Nwifuru and draws parallels between him and the revered former Governor General of the old Eastern Region, Rt Hon Francis Akanu-ibiam. Governor Nwifuru embodies the vision and leadership required to shape the future of the Igbo people.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo appeals to all concerned parties to prioritize the collective interests of the people and support Governor Nwifuru’s transformative agenda. Together, we can build a prosperous Ebonyi State that serves as a shining example to the nation”.
