THE governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has appointed Mrs Hannah Olawunmi Ogunesan as the new Head of Service of the state.

She will take over from Mr Soji Eniade, who retired from service recently, a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Ismail Alli, said, adding that the appointment will take effect from Thursday, February 2, 2018.

Mrs Ogunesan joined the Oyo State civil service on April 1, 1989, serving in various capacities until January 1, 2015 when she was appointed as a Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.

The new Head of Service, who will be the fifth woman to head the Oyo State civil service, holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Olabisi Onabanjo University and is a graduate of the London School of Economics.

Alli said, “Mr. Eniade has meritoriously and brilliantly served the state in various capacities prior to his appointment as HOS in August 2014.

“In view of his sterling performance as HOS, His Excellency, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has equally approved his appointment as Executive Assistant (Administration) to the governor, in the Governor’s Office.”
