POULTRY Association of Nigeria (PANOG), Ogun State chapter, has appealed to Governor Dapo Abiodun, to consider introduction of one egg a day in the School Feeding Programme, an initiative of the Federal Government.
This was disclosed by the state chairperson of the association, Blessing Alawode, during a press briefing in Abeokuta.
Alawode alongside other executive members said the move to include egg in the mid-day meal of pupils would help the association tremendously in the area of glout challenge.

The PANOG boss explained that the State has the largest producer of eggs in the country, needs government assistance in the area of perennial glout.
She also identified multiple taxation and levies; high cost of production: smuggling of poultry products as some of the challenges confronting the association.
The association commended the state government’s resolve to drive the agricultural sector to enviable position, in ensuring food security and creating employment for the people.
