In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Olaniyi Mobolaji, 10 indigenes of Benin Republic and 8 Togolese were said to be working and residing illegally in the country.
He said that the Command received intelligence report on the activities of the illegal immigrants based on the directive of the State Comptroller, Ajibola Bayeroju.
The illegal immigrants according to the image maker have flooded the area and that the Command would not leave any stone unturned to flush out immigrants that came into the state through illegal routes.
“The Nigeria Immigration Service, Ogun State Command has arrested 18 illegal immigrants. Those arrested are being profiled and will be repatriated back to their countries as soon as possible,” the statement added.
