Ogun Lawmaker commences clearing, dredging of drainages in Ode-Omi

The Honourable member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing Ogun Waterside State Constituency, Honourable Lawal Samusideen Adekunle, popularly referred to as “Lawee,” has embarked on the clearing and dredging of drainage channels across the Ode-omi community in the Ogun Waterside Local Government area.


Speaking at the project site at the weekend, the project manager, Mr Omotola Abayomi Albert, said that the project is one of the usual self-sponsored projects carried out by Hon. Lawal Samusideen Adekunle in his constituency.

Mr Abayomi Albert stated that the dredging and clearing exercises have been designed to ensure the free flow of water through all the channels unhindered all year round.

The residents of Ode-omi community expressed great appreciation to the lawmaker for the clearing and dredging of all channels leading to Lagbadagbudu and the Ijala River in Ode-omi, believing that the flooding usually experienced in the community will now be a thing of the past.
