The Ogun State Government has donated 500 KVA to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for use at the Permanent Orientation Camp in Sagamu.
This was part of the concerted effort of the State Coordinator of the Scheme, Mrs Nasamu Olayinka Diana, to light up the camp ahead of the forthcoming orientation.
The transformer was installed on Friday and immediately connected to the Ikenne grid, which has a higher capacity (33 kVA power line) and the potential to minimise epileptic power supply to the camp.
Nasamu appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for his unflinching support of the scheme in the state.
She explained that the installation of the transformer would help to make life in the camp community more bearable while promising to ensure that the transformer was guided against vandalism by unscrupulous elements.
