“All of you have done wonderfully well. I have learnt a lot from you all. You have all paid your dues and can only wish you well in all your future endeavours, however, I will not hesitate to call upon any one of you when your service(s) are most needed.
“Our retired HoS almost missed the position because of some reports that he is a non-conformist. He is a blunt man who is not shy to take any difficult position. He is a very quiet man. I thank God for the grace to work with him and others that we are honouring here today,” he added.
The retired HoS also appreciated Amosun for giving him the opportunity to serve at the highest level of his career as a civil servant.
Sobande said the Amosun-led administration had been pro-active on issues relating to the State workforce, as regards payment of salaries as and when due.
“The Ogun State Government under the leadership of Senator Ibikunle Amosun must be commended for upgrading the service. Even in the midst of uncertainties in relation to revenue allocation from the federal government, this government has always put payment of salaries above other things,” the retired HoS said.
