The family of Prof. Joseph Odemuyiwa, who is former Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun on Technical and Vocational Education, has described as an irreplaceable loss to it, saying that the family would, however, take solace in the legacies left behind by the don and the wonderful memories they shared.
It would be recalled that the accident that claimed the live of the former aide to Ogun State Governor, occurred in the morning of Tuesday, April 2, around Ajebo Village along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway while he was on his way to Atiba University in Oyo State.
Prof. Wole Odemuyiwa, a University of Missouri, Colombia, United States researcher, who spoke on behalf of the family in a statement made available to newsmen on Friday, said this while officially announcing the burial arrangements of the departed don.
He said the burial rites of his brother would kick off on Wednesday May 8, with a Service of Songs at the deceased residence in Ijoko-Ota, Ogun State and would be followed by the Christian Wake keep on Thursday, May 9 at Isara, while the burial service and interment comes up on Friday, May 10, 2024, also at Isara in Ogun State.

Odemuyiwa noted that many who worked with the governor’s former aide while alive described him as a highly cerebral, dutiful team player who was committed to whatever cause he believed in, adding that he contributed immensely to the unprecedented success recorded in the vocational and technical education sector during the first term of Governor Abiodun.
He, however, assured that the family would the keep the legacies of deceased alive.
“His family hopes to keep his legacies alive,” he said.
