Gov. Dapo Abiodun
AS the governor of Ogun State, Mr Dapo Abiodun, gets set to announce appointments into the state executive council, boards and other government agencies in the state, members of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state are already looking forward to occupying key positions.
Abiodun, who was inaugurated as the fifth governor of Ogun State on 29th May, 2019, is expected to anytime soon forward names of prospective commissioners, special advisers/assistants and those who would superintend over the affairs of some government agencies to the state House of Assembly for approval.
The governor had during his campaign tour of the state in February 2019, promised to compensate members of the party adequately for their support if he becomes the governor.

It is in the light of this that members of the APC in Ogun State are looking forward to governor Dapo Abiodun to fulfil his promise having enjoyed their full support during the electioneering process which brought him to power.
However, before taking this crucial decision, Governor Abiodun, would, however, be relying solely on major influencers who are party leaders in all the geopolitical zones in the state to determine those who are capable of occupying the numerous political offices.
The major actors from the geopolitical divides of the state are: the former deputy governor in the state, Alhaja Salimot Badru; Senator Iyabo Anisulowo; immediate past Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Suraj Adekunbi and Honourable Laolu Olabintan from Yewa, Chief Abiodun Ajayi and Honourable Adewunmi Onanuga from Sagamu, Senator Lekan Mustapha; Senator Adegbenga Kaka and Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye from Ijebu.
Also from the Egba axis are former governor of the state, Olusegun Osoba, immediate past governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun; Senator Lanre Tejuoso; Chief Bode Mustapha and the factional chairman of the party in the state, Derin Adebiyi to mention a few.
