Ogun: Akinlade canvasses support for APC’s Dapo Abiodun

Published by

A three-term member of House of Representatives, Hon Abiodun Akinlade has said that governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, is the candidate to beat in the race, urging the electorate to vote for him in Saturday’s governorship holding in the state.

Akinlade, who is the Deputy Campaign Director-General for the APC governorship campaign in Ogun State, made the call while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta, saying that Abiodun’s victory at the poll would enhance Federal Government presence in terms of projects and for even spread of development across the State.

This was just as the APC chieftain described the party’s governorship candidate, Prince Abiodun, as a tested and trusted leader who would move the Gateway state to the next level of growth and development.

“Prince Dapo Abiodun is the candidate to beat on Saturday and the reasons are obvious. He is one of the foremost successful businessmen in Nigeria and he has a signature of excellence on everything he touches.

“He has moved around the state, he knows the people and the people know him. He is a man that treasures his words and his promises are sacred to him. He is going to actualise all his campaign promises.

“With Prince Dapo Abiodun as governor, Ogun State will be in good hands. He is pro-business and that for me typifies job creation and wealth. Our health system, education, roads, security, transport, and the economy will all get face-lift when Abiodun becomes governor with your votes on Saturday,” Akinlade said.

The former lawmaker, who was also a governorship aspirant on the platform of the party, therefore, urged the electorate to ensure that not only should they ensure that the APC flagbearer, Abiodun win but also win with a spectacular landslide that would serve as a clear message to opposition parties that they were absolutely unwanted in the state.

“I want to appeal to all CDAs CDCs, students, youths, market men and women to come out on Saturday and vote for the APC in the governorship and state Assembly elections. We have elected President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo, the next big step is to vote Prince Abiodun and all APC state assemblies candidates. Look for the broom logo on the ballot paper and cast your vote on it,” Akinlade said.
