Ogbomoso Recreation Club laments deplorable state roads

The Ogbomoso Recreation Club has lamented the deplorable state of roads in Ogbomoso town calling on the government to act swiftly in fixing the roads.

Ogbomoso Recreation Club, in a statement signed by its President of the Club, Dr Akin Oladeji-Johnbrown, lamented the bad state in which major roads in the Ogbomoso area.

The club noted that the deplorable state of roads in Ogbomoso has adversely affected economic activities and contribute negatively to the economic hardship being faced by indigenes and residents just like some other Nigerians.

The statement reads:”The roads are in a disasterous situation requiring urgent attention. “We strongly believe that Ogbomoso is among the towns and cities that contribute hugely to the development of Nigeria as it plays host to the prestigious Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) and the town is a major hub for cashew production making it the second largest producer of cashew in Nigeria.

“The economic life of the town is completely paralysed and Ogbomoso Recreation Club is now calling all the concerned agencies at State and federal levels to come to the aid of the people of Ogbomoso before it leads to other unintended consequences.
