OFFCUT: No going back, address issues during protest, Netizens reply FG

Published by

In light of the nationwide protest scheduled for August 1st, Netizens have made it clear they will not back down and insist that the Federal Government address the issues promised during the protest.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had called on Nigerians to abort their planned protests, assuring that measures are in place to alleviate their hardships.

However, Netizens have responded that they will not be canceling the protest and that the Federal Government should address their concerns during the protest.

They expressed frustration with what they see as repeated failed promises from the government, viewing the latest assurances as a tactic to delay the protest.

Reacting on Facebook, Alhaji Saidu wrote, “We want to see the action not a fake promise again or you will hear from us, am ready for the day to come.”

On X, formerly Twitter, a user  @Granite1741385 wrote, “The protest must take place, don’t deceive yourself, you will alleviate it while it’s going on.”
