OFFCUT: Gumi should be arrested, Nigerians react as he offers to negotiate with terrorists

Published by

Nigerians have reacted to Sheikh Ahmad Abubakar Gumi’s offer to lead the negotiation between the Federal Government and terrorists saying he should be arrested.

Tribune Online reports that the renowned Kaduna- based cleric has offered to assist the Federal government by leading a dialogue with the terrorists to facilitate the release of all abducted Nigerians.

However, some Nigerians have expressed concern over the cleric’s offer to negotiate with the terrorists, agitating that it is quite shady and he should be arrested.

A Facebook user @Adewusi Adedeji reacted, “Nigeria is truly corrupt, I don’t know why this man is not in prison yet.”

Expesssing his concern @James Osogbah commented, “ Only the head and organizers of bandits and kidnappers can negotiate with their errant men”.

Other Nigerians on Instagram also reacted indifferently to the cleric’s offer to negotiate with the terrorists.
