To avert planned protests scheduled for August 1st to August 10, Nigerians have called on President Tinubu to reverse his policy of removing fuel subsidy.
In a poser made by Tribune Online on all social media platforms, Nigerians were asked to suggest last-minute measures the President could take to prevent the protest.
In response, many netizens advocated for the reinstatement of the fuel subsidy, arguing that its removal has led to increased fuel prices and widespread economic hardships.
They further contended that the newly approved minimum wage of 70,000 Naira and the government’s sale of 50kg of rice for 40,000 Naira are insufficient to alleviate the economic difficulties faced by Nigerians or stop the scheduled protest.

@magaji_eze6771 said, “The president took a wrong step in removing subsidy without first seeking the consent of Nigerians. And after the removal he should have ensure the price of petrol is stable and also available. I can’t say for sure how much petrol is been sold in Nigeria at the moment.”
