The activist, who was given a humanitarian award along with the founder of the God Bless Nigeria, Pastor Tony Rapu, said the society needed more people like Ebigieson on humanitarian ground.
The event, which marked the 10th anniversary of the foundation and the 5th edition of Valentine’s Day’s event tagged: QBF Empowerment Programme, was a soccour for widows from the Nigerian Army Officers Wives’ Association, (NAOWA) and their Navy and Air force counterparts.
It featured a one-day skill acquisition on bag, bead and shoe making using local fabrics, while the empowerment, which was the highpoint was graced by dignitaries from all walks of life, including the patron of the foundation, Mr Jimi Agbaje; colleagues of the movie producer: Grace Armah, Doris Simeon, Ejiro Okurame, Gloria Mba, Monalisa and ace comedy actor, Victor Osuagwu.
The convener, Queen Ebigieson, expressed her delight on the success of the event, adding that, “she is passionate about the plight of widows and wishes to do more with the gesture.”
