The Chairman of Odu’a Group of Companies, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, will deliver the keynote address at the 2024 Brands and Marketing Conference, organised by the Brands Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN), in Lagos.
The Association stated that the conference, slated for December, this year, will see the two-term Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry dissect this year’s conference’s theme woven around ‘Rebuilding Consumer Confidence: Addressing Policy impact and Market Realities’.
Speaking on the forthcoming conference, the association’s Chairman, Clara Okoro, described the annual event as key in the calendar of the association; since it brings seasoned analysts and informed stakeholders together to focus on key issues in the Nigerian integrated marketing communications industry.
She added that the conference will focus on how government policies, such as interest rate adjustments, tax policies and subsidy removal, have continued to influence disposable income and consumer spending.
“We would also be exploring strategies for businesses to adapt to weakened consumer purchasing power and shifts in consumption patterns due to policy changes,” she added.
