APC's Ododo
The immediate past Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole had said that the people of Kogi have proved that Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman winner of the just concluded governorship election is the right choice for the people.
Addressing newsmen on Monday, Prince Kolawole said the massive turnout of voters particularly members of the All Progressive Congress (APC) across the state indicated that the party was committed to victory.
He describes Ododo’s victory as authoritative going by the number of votes he secured in the keenly contested elections to beat his opponents.
He therefore called on Ododo’s co-contestants to join hands with the governor-elect to build the state for more progress and development insisting that the interest of the state supersedes any sectional or individual interest.
He equally commends Governor Yahaya Bello whose untiring efforts brought about a peaceful election as against the prediction of political opponents.
”Equally worthy of commendation are the good people of Kogi state who conducted themselves to ensure a violence-free election.”
