Odemwingie on trial at Hull City

Peter Odemwingie will feature prominently for Hull City in pre-season on trial as the club continue to evaluate his suitability to Premier League football.

The 35-year-old, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Bristol City was released by Stoke City this summer at the end of his contract and has since been without a club.

The ex-Cardiff and West Brom forward trained with the Tigers on Monday and will play a part in Steve Bruce’s pre-season friendly against Mansfield on Tuesday.

Hull boss Steve Bruce has tracked Odemwingie in recent seasons and will offer the Nigerian a contract if he impresses enough in their pre-season friendlies.
