WORRIED by the delay in releasing the white paper of the panel of inquiry set up by Anambra state government on Obosi intra-communal crisis which concluded its sitting since the first quarter of this year, youths in the area have called for an urgent release of the white paper.
The youths, through their spokesperson, Chief Alex Omezie Chukwura who made the call shortly after their round table session in the area, appealed to the state government to make public the white paper on the report of the panel of inquiry on the Obosi crises as soon as possible in the interest of all and sundry.
Chukwura also said releasing the white paper would serve as a step towards entrenching sustainable peace in the area.
He, however, commended Governor Willie Obiano for what he termed his excellent achievements in the areas of security, infrastructural development and above all, workers’ welfare.
He, therefore, expressed the readiness of the youths to support the governor in all his efforts at catapulting the state into a higher height.
On the recent launching of “Operation Udoamaka” by Obiano at Obosi, the youths applauded the state government for setting the pace in paying adequate attention towards the security of lives and property of the people of the state.
They contended that the choice of Obosi for the kick-off of the security operation could not have come at a better time than now as it sent a strong signal to any potential hoodlum or pockets of criminals who are still loitering around, that their time was up.
They expressed optimism that the governor’s systematic and consistent approach to security issues has left no space for criminals to operate in Obosi in particular and the state in general.
They therefore urged the security agencies in the state to pay particular attention to Obosi community so as to fish out those responsible for the unprovoked violent attacks on innocent individuals in the area.
