The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Ewuare II, has urged elders and youths of Obaretin community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State to respect lawful decisions of the head, Pa. Igiebor Imuetinyan.
He also urged the people to seek the approval of the community’s head before carrying out any administrative function in the area.
Chief Stanley Obamwonyi, the Esere of Benin City, who spoke on behalf of the traditional ruler, disclosed this after listening to the people who had earlier submitted various petitions bothering on the leadership crisis in the area.
He explained that despite the health challenges of Imuetinyan, he remains the duly appointed head of Obaretin, as approved by the traditional ruler,” he said.
He also urged an elder in the community, Pa. Igiebor Omokaro and other relevant stakeholders to abstain from activities that could undermine peaceful co-existence.
“Odionwere is the only one authorised by Omo N’Oba to administer the community on his behalf.
