Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, made a surprise appearance at a rally organised by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on Monday, in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

The rally, was to mark the end of a familiarisation tour of the lawmaker representing Remo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Honourable Oladipupo Adebutu, who is a governorship hopeful in the platform of the party.

Obasanjo took the party faithful by surprise at the rally held within the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in which he is the promoter.

He only greeted the PDP members and left the podium without making any political statement.

There was ecstasy within the shortest period he spent with them as they hugged one another.
