Oba told R at a media conference held in Lagos that the initiative was part of her efforts to connect withsuch children, as well as ensure they had memorable Easter celebrations by inspiring them with soul lifting music.
The event tagged: “4 The children and the kingdom wesing” music initiative for the awareness, advocacy and intervention for children living with terminal diseases and developmental disability, especially children living with cancer and autism, is supported by the the founder of Children living with Cancer foundation, Dr Nneka Nwobi and a therapist and representative of Patrick Speech and Language centre, Miss Irene.
According to Oba, the event will be held at Sugar Tree Garden, Mobolaji Anthony, Maryland, Lagos State, on Easter Monday, April 2. She noted that she was passionate to serve the world not only through music, but also by giving hopes and showing love, mostly to the needy.
Nwobi, said the concert would go a long way in inspiring lives, because music is spiritual and can heals any form of illness, adding that, “music is a therapy and medicine to all souls. I also want to charge the government to intensify efforts on child health care services in the country, as it will prevent the rampant medical trip outside the shores of the country and untimely death, especially among children,” she noted.
