NYSC trains store officers on GIFMIS

THE National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has commenced a training for store officers of the scheme to boost their capacity on Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training, the Director General of the Corps Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, said the training was in line with the Federal Government Public Resource Management to Strengthen Anti-corruption initiative through the modernisation of fiscal processes.

The Director General who was represented by the Director Public Relations of the Scheme, Abosede Aderibigbe, explained that the training is a veritable platform for diligent appraisal, stock taking and fine tuning the store management process.

He also said that, the training was in line with his vision of ensuring adequate training of the scheme’s workforce.

Kazaure urged all store officers to take full advantage of the training to migrate from analogue to digital system in the course of carrying out their duties.

The Director General also urged the participants to come up with new and effective strategies that will help build on the current achievement of the scheme.
