THE National Youth Service Corps NYSC on Monday condoled with Minister of Youth and Sports, Barrister Solomon Dalung, over the death of his first wife, Mrs Briskila Dalung.
Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, in a statement issued in Abuja described the death of Mrs Dalung as a great loss, and prayed that God comforts the bereaved family.
It reads:”The management of the National Youth Service Corps has expressed sadness over the death of wife of the Youth and Sports Minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung, Mrs Briskila Dalung.
“The management and staff of the NYSC stand in prayers with the Dalung family in this moment of grief.
“We pray Almighty God to give the Honourable Minister and the rest of the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
Dalung had taken to his Facebook page on Sunday to announce the sad event where he also posted the picture of his late wife.
He wrote: “I am bereaved: For it is appointed for man to live thereafter comes death and judgment says the Holy Bible. While in the Quran, it states that it is appointed that every soul shall test death.
“My heart is heavy, I cannot continue, I lost my first wife, Mrs Briskila this morning. Mayher soul and the souls of faithful departed rest in the bosom of the Lord, amen. What a black Sunday.”
