THE Executive Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has urged the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members serving in the state to impact positively on their host communities.
He stated this during the official closing ceremony of the 21-day orientation course for Batch C (Stream II) Oyo State corps members and Ogun State corps members dislodged to the state at the permanent orientation camp, Ogbakuta, Iseyin, Oyo state.
The Governor, who was represented by the Special Adviser on Youth Matters and Sports, Hon Bolaji Repete, said: “I admonish you as agents of change, to impact positively on your host communities as well as stem down the knowledge acquired on both skills acquisition and positive living to the populace.”

“Bear in mind the oath of allegiance you took and make sure you strive to contribute to the building of a united, peaceful, prosperous and egalitarian society.”
Declaring the orientation course closed, he assured the corps members that the Oyo State administration and the people of Oyo and Ogun states would guarantee them excellent hospitality while also ensuring that their security and welfare are not compromised.
“Oyo and Ogun states are relatively peaceful and you will enjoy the warmness of the people.”
While commending the relentless efforts of the NYSC management, he advised the corps members to meditate on how best they can serve the nation.
“Make up your mind that you will more than ever before, strive to be in pursuit of excellence at all times.”
Earlier in her address, the State Coordinator, Ambekemo Eniola, also advised the corps members to integrate with people in their communities, while cleverly staying out of politics.”
