A recent post of ace musician, David Adeleke (Davido), sizzled all social media platforms including search engines like Google during the week.

Davido graduated two years ago from a private university in Nigeria but anounced his registration for the one year compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), in a post on all of his social media platforms on Wednesday.

Clad in a  NYSC attire, complete with beige jungle boots, the 30billion gang leader perched in his white Bentley in the post that has generated a lot of conversations.

One Adewale Adetoyese wrote an open letter requesting the Assurance singer’s NYSC N19800 monthly stipends, known as alawee, on Instagram, others plainly pleaded for it.

“My main point is about your monthly allowance (19800). What is 19800 to you Omo Baba Olowo? If you get my message, let’s talk on how you can make NYSC pay me your allowance, maybe as my pension for serving Nigeria before you, “ Adewale’s open letter read in part.

Eghasfayvor, wrote “Congrats boss, try send your alawee money to me. You no need am.”

Some  other followers questioned the rationale behind obeying the national call in spite of his influence. Like Emyshine.ee, others read political undertunes to his NYSC enrollment.

“In case you choose to contest for presidency tomorrow, Emyshine.ee wrote, “No b lie you need tie up loose ends, my guy, sharp guy”

“Wait! Does Davido have 10 heads or what’s so special about him serving?” Another commenter also questioned in a post that has garnered over 3000 comments and about 500,000 likes on Instagram alone.
