NYSC club donates food items, clothes, cash to Sokoto orphanage

THE Charity and Tourism Club, a Community Development Service (CDS), Group of the National Youths Service Corps ( NYSC), has donated food items, clothes and an undisclosed amount of money to the Sokoto Orphanage.

The food items donated include rice, noodles, spaghetti, macaroni, beverages, toiletries, detergents, clothes, among others.

Speaking at the occasion, the club President, Mr Obochi Ekele Gabriel, said that, the gesture was part of the routine assistance to the less privileged members of the society.

According to Gabriel, the gesture would also make the orphans to have a sense of belonging and boost their bond with the society

The president, therefore, appealed to the wealthy individuals and well-meaning groups to emulate the gesture, with a view to bolster the welfare of the orphans.
