NUJ pickets News Agency of Nigeria HQ over illegal promotion, punitive measures

Members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) have picketed the Headquarters of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) over the alleged illegal suspension and transfer of Mr Collins Hammer.

Members of the Union carried various placards to register their grievances about the alleged poor management of the editorial unit of the News Agency of Nigeria.

The Chairman Nigeria Union of Journalists, Federal Capital Territory FCT-NUJ, Comrade Emmanuel Ogbeche said the management of NAN must reverse the punitive measures adopted against Union member for demanding that processes for promotion should not be arbitrarily carries out but followed.
