NUJ FCT: Ex-minister lauds Grace Ike’s appointment as first female chairman

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen has congratulated the newly inaugurated chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike on her successful election as first female chairman of the council after establishment 43 years ago.

Comrade Ike, who paid a courtesy visit to Dame Tallen’s residence in Abuja was in company of the Treasurer, Ms. Sandra Udeike.

The former Plateau State Deputy Governor while presenting a Christmas souvenir to the Chairman of Council wished her success and an outstanding performance in moving the council and members forward.

Speaking earlier, Comrade Ike assured of her team’s determination to take the council to an enviable height by prioritizing welfare of members, promoting the image of the union and appealed for support and guidance.
