The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Correspondents’ Chapel in Zamfara State has elected new officials to run its affairs for the next three years.
The officials were elected during a delegate conference held at the NUJ Press Center in Gusau, the state capital, on Monday.
The newly elected officials of the Correspondents’ Chapel are expected to lead the chapel from 2023 to 2025.
The new leaders of the Zamfara Correspondents’ Chapel of NUJ include Ishaq Tambuwal of the News Agency of Nigeria as Chairman; Ibrahim Sidi Mohammed of New Telegraph as Vice Chairman; Aminu Abubakar Mayanchi of The Path newspaper, Sokoto, as Secretary; Babangida Ibrahim of AIT as Treasurer; Bala Mohammed of TVC as Auditor; and Lawal Jibril of Liberty TV as Financial Secretary.

In his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Zaki Tambuwal, assured his readiness to work with his executive members to advance the chapel.
He appealed to members of the Correspondents’ Chapel to remain committed to their primary responsibilities and to discharge their duties professionally, in accordance with the constitution and ethics of the profession.
