While thanking the President; through the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Project, the Federal Ministry of Education and National Assembly for making the event a reality, he enjoined participants to strive and derive maximum benefits from the five workshop series the Institute is rolling out this year.
In his remarks, the Chairman NTI Governing Council, Sen. Kaka Mallam Yale, who was represented by a member of the Council and a director in the federal ministry of education, Mr Jonathan Mbaakaa said the programme was aimed at improving the quality of the teaching in the country.
No fewer than 100 teachers from each state and FCT are expected to participate in the training nationwide in the first part of the programme.
