Not all relationships lead to marriage — Actress Nkechi Blessing

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing, who just returned from the United States where she premiered her latest movie ‘Toreira’ in two different cities and also spent time with her boyfriend, US-based actor, Michael Adeyemi, has said not all relationships or love affairs between a man and a woman lead to marriage.

She disclosed this in a brief interview with Saturday Tribune when she was asked if there was a possible marriage between them. “Not all relationships lead to marriage but mine should and mine will, so you guys should just keep your fingers crossed and just watch the space. No one is rushing into anything, we are fine for now,” she said.

The controversial actress who also claimed the controversies about her have been a great advantage to her career, said: “I am just being me, in a world where so many people do not like when you are being real, they see you as a threat, and they think, why is it only her? She is too loud, she makes too much noise, but all of the noise I have made in my life brought me this far, because, you must look for what works for you and stick to it.

“So, it doesn’t get to me, because it keeps announcing me to a bigger screen. The kind of jobs I am getting these days, in 2020 I have not done such before. Though I am popular in the Yoruba movie industry I am breaking into the English sector really good because I have like four scripts waiting for me to shoot in Lagos, with good storylines and with topnotch producers. So the controversies so far have been of great help to my career.”

She, however, said she had reduced some of the things she used to do before because according to her, “too much of everything is bad” She also claimed that she did not do all those things intentionally and that they just happened.
