Nobody wanted to feature me when I started content creation — Samskid

Popular Nigerian content creator, actor, brand and lifestyle influencer, Uzoemeka Clinton Ogemdi, fondly known as Samskid has highlighted the challenges he faced when he started his career.

With 201,000 followers on Instagram and a staggering 6.5million followers on TikTok and still counting, Samskid has worked his way up the ladder among social media celebrities in Nigeria, excelling in his own class.

Samskid, also known as Greatest Actor Of All Time on social media comes from Umukele, Umulolo Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State, was born on 3rd August, 1997. He bagged a degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, in 2022, after his primary and secondary education. His passion for entertainment started at a young age, after he mesmerized an audience, including his parents, with his acting skills.

As time goes on, it forged a burning passion in him to take acting as a career. Even without a debut yet in the main industry, Greatest Actor Of All Time showcases his innate talent in his content on social media where he has a combined over 6.7million ‘religious’ followers, who get throughly entertained by his uncommon and genuinely compelling videos.

However, Samskid has come along way. He suffered rejection at the beginning when he tried to mobilise support for his journey. According to him, it got so bad that  nobody wanted to feature in his videos. He said he simply rolled up his sleeves and worked harder.

“When I first started, I found it difficult to get people to feature in my videos because they hardly believed in me, but with time all that changed when they started seeing results, at first i got low views but with time and consistency that also changed, i just kept working harder,” he said.

With the unwavering support of his parents, who are part of his ‘die-hard’ fanbase cheering him on, Greatest Actor Of All Time is dreaming and taking steps towards realising his ambition to not only be reckoned with in Nigeria as an actor but in Hollywood, which all naturally explains why he is one of Dwayne Johnson’s biggest fan.

“I’m actually targeting Hollywood and i have a director over there in the states and we are planning a movie real soon. My parents witness when i acted the primary school drama, so later in life when i ventured into content creation, they supported me. I’m exploring my chances of advancing myself as a filmmaker and going full time into movie in the nearest future,” he revealed.
