Following the enactment of a new national anthem, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has informed Nigerians that a standardised version of the song will be produced following consultation with stakeholders.
NOA made this known in a statement signed by iPaul Odenyi, Deputy Director of Press, and made accessible to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the Agency’s Director General, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, provided the assurance after several versions of the anthem appeared on social media, with community Orientation and Mobilization Officers (COMOS) also reporting citizens’ confusion with the correct lyrics, instrumental, and audio renditions of the anthem.

According to him, “our COMOS, whom we assigned to study the new national anthem, have reported that many of our people are eager to learn and promote the new anthem but are unsure which version they discover online is the proper one.
They have questioned whether the stanzas are the national prayer.
The Director General further stated that a decision on whether any of the stanzas would be approved as a national prayer will be made following the requisite clearance procedure.
He asked government agencies that wish to play the song at their functions to contact the Agency for an official copy of the new song.
