NOA launches sensitisation on new anthem, value charter in Zamfara

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has began enlightenment and sensitization campaign on new national anthem, national values charter in Zamfara state, saying all citizen has equal rights with regards to Nation building.

This was disclosed by Director Documentation, Transmission and publication (DTP) NOA Headquarters Abuja, John Bala Asate on Wednesday in Gusau, Zamfara state during a press conference held at the Federal secretariat NOA office in the state.

The Director NOA DTP who flagged off sensitization campaign on new national anthem and national values charter said the third stanza of the New National Anthem was approved as a prayer during public events in the country.

He said, “The first stanza of the anthem is now designated to be rendered at all official functions, while all three stanzas will be reserved for special occasions such as Independence Day, Democracy Day, the inauguration of the National Assembly, Children’s Day, Armed Forces Remembrance Day, and Workers’ Day in the country.”

According to him, the act establishing the National Orientation Agency (NOA) has makes its clear and mandated the agency, to undertake in communicating government policies, programmes, and activities, mobilising support for them, and providing feedback to the government.

He continued, “NOA is also tasked with promoting democracy as the best model of governance and fostering values that ensure peace, orderliness, and moral conduct, like CLHEEAN, is an innovative tool designed to address the challenges of the new media landscape ,CLHEEAN facilitates communication on various thematic issues”.

John Bala Asate disclosed that the agency under the leadership of it’s Director General Mallam Lanre Onilu is currently promoting some policies of the present administration of President Bola Ahmed,that would address economic and social challenges in the country, “Such like student Loan and Youth investment fund.”
