‘No Stress’: We expected more – Fans tell Wizkid

Published by

Barely a week after the music space was rocked with Davido’s latest single ‘FEM’, his counterpart, Wizkid, was quick to release a new single, ‘No stress’ and reactions that trailed the new song showed that the Ojuelegba crooner did not live up to the expectations of fans.

It was expected that Wizkid’s new song would displace Davido’s ‘FEM’, as fans of both artistes traded words on social media about who has the bigger status. However, days after ‘No stress’ was dropped by Wizkid, findings by R reveal that Davido’s ‘FEM’ continue to rule the airwaves, overwhelming Wizkid’s song in the process.

While it is believed that the latest song ‘No stress’ will help him test the waters ahead of his album release which R can gather will be in October, hopes remain high in the music industry, especially among his fans who are upbeat that their favourite singer would live up to the hype.

Although friction between the fans of both artistes appear to linger on social media, the two singers appear indifferent to the constant comparison they are subjected to in the bid to make a case for who is the greater artiste.

Davido, R gathered, also has an album in the offing which has been entitled ‘A Better Time’, coming off his last album, ‘A Good Time’, which recently amassed a billion streams across the globe. However, it appears that Wizkid’s album will be released earlier as anticipation continues to build from the camps of the two superstars ahead of their forthcoming discographies.
