No plan to sack, redeploy directors —Minister

MINISTER of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu. has dismissed the rumour making the rounds in the city of Abuja that his ministry was planning to sack or redeploy some directors for non-performance.

He made this clarification in his office in Abuja, during an interview with newsmen.

Barrister Shittu, who  denied having any knowledge of such information, further stressed that all the directors under his ministry were doing very well, hence,no reason for the recommendations of either their redeployment or outright sack from the service.

The minister said the cooperation received so far since he assumed duty as communications minister from both the directors and entire staffers had helped him to achieve a lot, promising to continue in such direction in order to meet the set target of the present administration.

According to him, “I want to assure you that I am hearing this rumour for the first time from you, and I want to assure that I can imagine where a situation like that will happen without complaining to my boss, President Muhammadu Buhari, to say that Mr. A or director B is not performing, so we are satisfied with the heads of these agencies and they are all doing well. If they are not doing well, certainly we will complain and necessary action will be taken.”
