Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture
Minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, has said that allegations of plan to islamise the country by the present government is completely false.
Speaking at the north central edition of town hall meeting organized by his ministry in Ilorin on Monday, Alhaji Mohammed said Nigerians should not allow people called enemies of the country to use religion to divide them or give Nigeria a bad name among comity of nations.
The minister, who described a statement credited to some Nigerians as saying that the country was no longer safe for Christians to live in as a disservice, said that such opinion was fueled by political, ethnic and extremism.
He therefore called on Nigerians to be united and tolerate one another irrespective of religious beliefs, saying that it was only in the atmosphere of peace, unity and love that the country would develop.
