No one can frustrate me out of APC ― Ondo lawmaker

FOLLOWING the crisis rocking the Ondo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the lawmaker representing Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency of Ondo state, Hon. Bamidele Baderinwa has vowed not to allow anybody frustrate him out of the party.

Baderinwa who stated this while speaking to newsmen in Akure, Ondo state, said he would rather remain in the party and fight impunity to ensure members of the party embrace internal democracy.

According to him, people should be allowed to choose their representatives and advised the Akeredolu led administration in the state to tread softly and allow the ongoing internal restructuring of the party in the interest of all.

The lawmaker expressed satisfaction with the repositioning of the party being carried out by the National leadership which he described as being manifested with happenings in the party supremacy.

Baderinwa maintained that activities of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole indicated that he is ready to reposition the party to serve the interest of the party and the nation at large.

The lawmaker who is seeking re-election to the House of Representatives highlighted some of the achievements of the present leadership to include the introduction of internal democracy in APC.

He maintained that those who left the party do not have genuine interest of the APC at heart but only fighting for their personal interests.

“Those people that left were only in the party for themselves and those that believe in them not in the party or Nation’s interest and so they could not withstand the paradigm shift in leadership of the party which goes beyond their expectations”.

“I pray that Comrade Oshiomhole led NWC could continue with the sanitation of the party which it embarked on in the interest of the nation and patriotic Nigerians”.

Hon Baderinwa who had submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms to the National secretariat of the party for re-election called for harmonious relationship from those that believe in the President Muhammadu Buhari’s resolve to rid the Nation of corruption and underdevelopment.

He charged the NWC to ensure timely resolutions of the crisis in the party ahead of 2019 election to ensure victory for the party.

He stressed the need to resolve the crisis in the state in order not jeopardize the chances of the party in the next year general election saying the crisis, if resolve, will make the party stronger in the state.

The lawmaker however, restated  his support for the direct primary method in electing candidates for the forthcoming general elections by the national leadership of the party.
