The Kaduna State Government has dismissed as misleading the news of Governor Uba Sani’s unveiling of a scholarship through a private organisation called SKAID, solely for Southern Kaduna students.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Nasir Dambatta, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Print Media and made available to newsmen in Kaduna on Wednesday.
The statement noted that the current administration has restated its commitment to the equal educational development of all students across Kaduna State, irrespective of geographic or ethnic backgrounds.
It said the SKAID Foundation’s initiative focused on Southern Kaduna and this can be akin as a purely a private effort, but the state Governor ,Uba Sani’s overarching policies prioritizes inclusivity and the upliftment of indigent students throughout the state.
“This clarification is to correct any misconceptions that seek to politicize the governor’s efforts,” Dambatta noted.
