Ribadu
THE former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu has said that the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is fighting corruption better than any other country.
Ribadu who stated while speaking with journalists shortly after the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo expressed hope that the new administration would intensify fight against corruption.
“In the fight against corruption, I have always said it and I still want to tell Nigerians that there is no country that is fighting corruption in the world like in Nigeria, just look at it, I mean being fair, look at the number of cases that are being prosecuted in Nigeria, look at the recoveries that is taking place in Nigeria, look at the whole noise that we are making about it, is there any country in the world that doing one quarter of what is happening and we hope that it is going to continue because “We need to fight corruption, we need to, we need to stop it, we have to just stop it, and nobody else can do it better than President Muhammadu Buhari, he is doing wonderfully well and we need to encourage him, we need to stand by him, we need to support him for him to complete this job,” Ribadu said.

Speaking of the economy, Ribadu said with the foundation laid by the government in terms of infrastructure, and other projects in the last four years, the results will soon be felt across the country.
“In the last four years, a solid foundation was laid for better things to happen, and most of the works that took place in the last four years, Nigerians we start to see the result and the outcome.
“In terms of the economy, you know we came out of recession, there was a terrible recession in 2015 and 2016, this government worked hard with programs and policies, we are out of it, we are now on the path of growth, things are improving, if you see our reserves today, you will know that we have a government of integrity,
“So this is the time when we will start seeing the results, if you know the number of roads that are being constructed across Nigeria, if you know the projects that are ongoing in terms of rail, if you see how our airports are being improved, things are happening in this country,” the former EFCC boss added.
